Bad Blogger!

I am a bad blogger- I apologize!!! It's just that recently, I haven't felt that there was a whole lot to blog about! If you have ideas, I would LOVE them!

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing...

I love that song by Jack Johnson.... it's so true. I feel like I spend way too much of my life waiting for something.... I am by nature a planner and I am always wishing and waiting for the next plan. I need to practice being in the moment.

Okay, I'm finished with my soapbox. My week was crazy, and I'm thankful it's over. We had state testing this week as well as parent teacher conferences, so our schedule was completely turned upside down as well. Thankfully, it looked as though the kids did pretty well on the tests, and all of my conferences ended well. I even got a wonderful thank you email the following day after one of my conferences.... definitley makes it all worthwhile.

Friday night, I was so tired, I didn't feel like doing much of anything. We ended up going out for pizza and a couple of beers and I was in bed at 10:30.... just wonderful! On Saturday, I babysat my sister's kids for a few hours in the morning and then worked until dinner time. One of my co-workers 30th birthday parties was yesterday so I went over to his house after work. I paid for that this morning. They had a keg and I wasn't a huge fan of the beer on tap, so I stuck with liquor.... I can't remember the last time I drank liquor and I think I mixed every liquor imaginable last night.... I was greeted at the door with two jello shots- seriously- haven't done that since college! Followed by some long island iced teas, a strawberry daquiri or two, it just went all downhill. So needless to say, my Broad Street Run training didn't happen this morning. I was happy I was well enough to take the dog out. It was AWFUL.... One of those times when you promise you will NEVER do it again....

So, here I am at work again (my little spending cash/pay off the credit cards second job that I've had since high school). I'm finally feeling back to normalish.... thank god. It would be nice if I could get out of here at a decent hour and try and get my run in tonight, but being that the weather is awesome and everyone wants to be outside... they're all golfing, which means that I will probably be here awhile.

Hope all is well.... and some of you lurkers better delurk soon- unless of course, everyone stopped reading!

Busy Bee.....

This week has been really hectic! I've had so much on my plate I forgot to blog. I apologize that I've been a horrible blogger lately, but I feel like I don't have much to say and that my life is not that important anyway! So for lack of blogging, here's what I've been up to:

Two weekends ago, Eric and I went to Avalon for a brief getaway. He starts his new job tomorrow and although I think he's going to love it, it's going to be a lot of hours. On top of that, I went back to my second job on Sunday, so things get tense from now until the end of the school year when I'm not as stressed. Needless to say, the beach was wonderful.

Here's a view from our morning walk:
Sadie LOVED the beach!

This weekend, I went to a show in Kennett that had Irish music. We had a really good time with two other couples, but I had a busy Saturday planned, so we came home rather early. Saturday, I had a bridal shower in the morning for my college roommate Alli in New Jersey. Her wedding is in Ocean City in May.... I'm really looking forward to another excuse to go to the beach!

Alli and her bridesmaids
As soon as I got home Saturday, we had to get ready for the Saint Patrick's benefit party. The Catholic school in our area had their annual fundraiser. It was really nice and I'm pretty sure they make a lot of money off it. We headed out to Hartefeld and partied for awhile. Eric was in the poker tournament and came in third place! I hung out with the crazy PTO moms at school!

Seriously.... these are the best moms to have in your class.
By Sunday, getting up for work was torture. I felt terrible and exhausted. My weekend was almost as busy as my week! Sunday night, I was in bed NICE and early. I'm hoping I'll relax a BIT this weekend.

I've gotten into this crazy cleaning binge in the last week or so. I think it stemmed from not having a clean house for three weeks! Seriously, that might have been the longest period of time that my house has gone without a proper cleaning. The floor was gross, the carpets were filthy and the laundry was overflowing (even though it was clean, I hadn't put it away). I'm trying to recruit my sister to come help me declutter our life/house. I don't realize how much we have until I no longer want any of it! I think spring cleaning is a necessary in everyone's life!

Well, I better keep checking on the kiddos PSSA testing..... thank goodness this will be over soon! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Who Knows?

This weekend was incredible in the north east!!!  We had temperatures almost near 70, which is amazing, considering we had a good 6 inches of snow last Monday!  Eric and I decided to seize the moment and head down to my parent's beach house and spend the weekend with them.  I haven't uploaded all the pictures yet, but I posted what I did upload on Saturday.   I promise to update soon!  It was so nice to have a change of pace and get out town for awhile.  Although the mess was still here when I got home, and I'm back to the grind, I definitely have a lot more energy and better attitude toward doing things.

I did talk to Eric, thanks for your comments.... he seems to be where he was before.  He knows where I stand, but still thinks he's not ready, as much as he loves being a daddy to Sadie (our pup).  So, I'm pretty much back to where I started in Sept/Oct.  We'll see where that lands us.  I just found out that I do have a wedding to be in July, but even if I got pregnant this month, it's only 4 months!!!!  Ugh, who knows!  In the mean time, I'm still trying my best for a clean house and losing 15 lbs, but seriously, who isn't?

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!!!!  Thanks for your wonderful comments!

FABULOUS Long Weekend!

So, guess who has a snow day tomorrow? I'm really looking forward to it! There are a couple of things on my agenda:
1. organizing a coupon binder (because I was inspired by Christina and from watching a woman on the news who had a $240 grocery bill and got it down to $0.47! Now, I know I won't get mine that good because she spends a GREAT deal of time looking for deals, but I do hope to save some cash!

2. working on my mini-business opportunity putting together movie slideshows. When I finally get the digital edit uploaded- I will put my youtube video up- but for now- just envision a slideshow movie set to music for special occasions, weddings, funerals, birthdays, etc.

So, we'll see how much I accomplish, but for now, my goals are set high! Hope everyone has a night, warm night!
