Keep On Keepin On

So, not much new, just pretty overwhelmed with life right now. I'm trying to get cleaned up from my family staying with me this weekend. Also, I'm supposed to have people over on Thursday, so I have to RECLEAN for that..... AHHH!!! Tonight, I have a meeting, tomorrow I have to tutor and a doctor's appointment (thank goodness it's an inservice day!) and Wednesday I have class. I feel like I'm just trying to get my head above water.

I'm still debating on whether or not to get Eric a dog for Christmas. He really wants a Chocolate Lab. I don't mind the dog, but I know he wants a puppy and it's just like having a baby. Except babies don't chew brand new furniture. Soooo.... as much as I'd like to surprise him for Christmas, I don't know how to do it.... hmmmm Any thoughts about puppies????

As the owner of a black lab - let me just tell you how much work they are! If you like vacuuming everyday and playing fetch/tug of war 20 times a day then a lab is for you.

I have to say though - there's plenty of loving dogs at shelters who could be just as cute and cuddly as a puppy. I'd go that route! And find one who's not too hyper :)

I LOVE labs, but I agree they are very very hairy. My mom has to swiffer at least once a day. Its a hard decision we are going through the same thing because I would love to get a dog...however my Eric was the opposite he wanted a kid before a dog because he thought it would be easier.

I'm pretty sure my Eric would rather have a dog before anything.... or anything before a child!

I say go for it, show him that you want him happy. I don't think your eric doesn't want a kid, prob more scared about the unknown...my eric was very scared b/c he doesn't have a lot of experience with kids. does hee like to read, get him a daddy book!!
